We traveled to Braunfels, Germany to visit an old 12th century castle up in the mountains. It had over 200 famous paintings and antiques as well as gorgeous wood inlaid floors. We had to put on slippers to walk in the castle so as not to make any marks. There were coats of armor for humans and horses. Many of the homes are the half-wood homes and the streets are all cobblestone. The rolling hills are covered with grass like velvet and the small little villages have all the homes in white stucco with red roofs. Such a beautiful picture. We also visited another castle in Marburg, Germany but couldn't get a tour in English so just took pictures. The town was beautiful; Narrow streets with many little shops. We ate at a restaurant where some people brought their dog. Our friends said they have been in restaurants where a dog has actually sat at the table. There are no health laws to restrict them. We attended an International Ward Sunday where over 23 countries are represented and fortunately for us, it was in English. Everyone was so friendly. I sat by a missionary with an investigator from China. We became fast friends. I introduced her in R.S. and got her a manual. I am working to get her an Chinese Bible along with her Chinese Book of Mormon. She believes in Joseph Smith and has had only one lesson. She appears golden. I feel we have known each other for a long time. Today was a momentus occasion and annoncement for the Europe area. Elder Holland was in England and the Presiding Bishopric was in Salt Lake. We were via satelite in Frankfurt. The announcement was made to consolidate Europe West Area and Europe Central Area to make one area that will be centered in Frankfurt. We will keep Pres. Oaks as the Area President but everything will consolidate on August 1st. Our area is HUGE! It was neat to hear the comments by Pres. Holland at the end. He advised everyone to "Keep the spirit of the Lord with us and seek the Spirit in everything we do." He advised us to bear witness that we are Christians because one who believes must bear witness. He said, "The true man and woman will never look as if the did not care." I felt his spirit and the Lord testify to me of this truth.

Wow! You are super busy already, and that is amazing news about the area consolidation! I love the picture of Vicky in the square.
You are already having some incredible missionary experiences! You have the knack for making everyone feel comfortable and like you have been friends forever. I'm sure you'll have more experiences like this in Sweden.
